Fans of the 2027 Super Bowl halftime show now have a confirmed headliner. Jay-Z will perform the 14-minute set on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The rapper has served as a key decision-maker for the event since 2019, when he and his company, Roc Nation, became NFL partners for the production. For this edition, he selected himself for the main stage rather than booking an outside artist.
The announcement resolves one major question while leaving the guest list open. Jay-Z has not officially named any special guests, but industry observers point to four individuals with strong historical ties to his career. The final roster remains undecided until the NFL makes further announcements.
Beyonce stands out as a primary candidate given their marriage since 2018 and their extensive musical history. The couple has collaborated on tracks including "Crazy in Love," "Drunk in Love," and "Part II (On the Run)." Beyonce has prior experience with the NFL, performing at halftime in 2016 and singing the national anthem in 2001. She also headlined a halftime show in Houston on Christmas Day 2024.
Rihanna is another likely guest, having launched her career under Jay-Z’s leadership at Def Jam Records in 2005. She later moved to Roc Nation in 2010. The two have recorded songs such as "Umbrella" and "Run This Town." Earlier this year, Rihanna made a surprise appearance on Jay-Z’s tour at Yankee Stadium. She headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in 2023.
Blu Ivy Carter, the couple’s eldest child, is also on the list. She performed as a dancer during Beyonce’s 2024 halftime show in Houston and joined her mother on the Cowboy Carter tour. Blu Ivy frequently attends NFL games with her father and has built a visible fanbase at recent concerts.
Eminem rounds out the potential guest lineup. He recently joined Jay-Z on stage during his current tour. The two previously collaborated on the song "Renegade" from Jay-Z’s album The Blueprint. Eminem served as a special guest at the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show.
The NFL has not yet determined which teams will play in the championship game. That information will become available on the final day of January 2027. Until then, the focus remains on the musical lineup for the February performance.
